How Do I Buy Title Insurance?
An owner's policy of title insurance will be offered to you at
your settlement. The fee will be a part of the cashier's check
that you bring to closing, and you will sign documentation confirming
the purchase of the policy. The cost of the lender's policy is
based on the amount of the loan; the owner's policy is based on
the sales price. We can quote those rates upon request.
A low, one-time fee is all you pay to obtain the protection and
peace of mind of a title insurance policy. The insurance stays
in effect for the rest of the lives of the title owners, and is
passed on to their heirs in the event of death.
